It's almost time to start our outdoor racing season.  If you don't have plans to race in North Carolina or Atlanta in the next few weeks with the USAC national Generation Next tour, we will start on Sunday, May 2^nd at Whiteland Raceway Park.  But the date that I would like for everyone to put on their calendars is a special racing event on April 24^th at the Kokomo Club.  It is a fund raising event for Kendra Jameson, the wife of Jeremy and the mother of Bradley, Garrett and Sura, all quarter midget drivers.  The attached flyer tells the story and outlines all of the day's action.  It is a really worthwhile cause.

            I would also like to point out that our twice-a-month (first and third Tuesday evenings) rookie training nights begin with the first Tuesday in April, the 6^th.  We've made arrangements with our gracious host at Whiteland Raceway to allow rookies all the track time they need on those evenings for only the cost of the track insurance, about $3 per person.  At least one of our senior handlers and drivers will be available to help get the rookies started and to answer any of those car and rookie handler questions that you might have.  All we ask is that you shoot us an email at least a day before the rookie session at rethomason@aol.com or swolsiffer@yahoo.com so that we may let Mike know what to expect and we can coordinate times to arrive.

The Midwest Thunder Championship Series is now taking applications for the following -PAID- positions for the 2010 racing season. The positions of Chief Steward, Flagman, Announcer and Assistant Steward will be needed for 2010.

If you have an interest in working with a kids racing organization and can dedicate the time and energy we are looking for you.

It is going to be a full summer of racing and a competitive fun time for the kids.
